STAFF and volunteers from the Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre are celebrating after achieving a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
They say it reflects the hospice’s dedication to providing exceptional care and support to its patients and families.
The CQC, the independent regulator of health and social care services in England, conducted a comprehensive inspection of Primrose Hospice’s facilities, services, and patient care practices in November 2023.
The Good rating followed a thorough assessment and highlights the organisation’s commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The Primrose’s CEO David Burrell said: “We are delighted to have achieved a ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, volunteers, and supporters who strive tirelessly to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care and support during challenging times.”
The CQC’s assessment encompassed various aspects of Primrose Hospice’s operations, including its effectiveness in delivering care, responsiveness to patients’ needs, safety protocols, leadership, and overall quality of services.
