Mappleborough Green students go bananas for Fairtrade

Redditch Editorial 16th Mar, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

CHILDREN at Mappleborough Green Primary School went bananas recently when they held a Fairtrade breakfast.

The idea was to promote Fairtrade as an idea and to educate the children about where their food comes from.

The exercise also chimed in with a larger project in which neighbouring Studley is hoping to become a Fairtrade village.

The children also went to school in their pyjamas and feasted on Fairtrade tea, coffee, juice along with homemade banana muffins and fresh fruit smoothies.
