A flippin’ great time was had by all when the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day Races took over the town centre.
In what has become a well-loved tradition, crowds lined the streets to cheer on the competitors as they charged along flipping their pancakes on Tuesday (February 13).
Even the rain failed to dampen spirits.
Organised by Alcester Court Leet, there were a host of race categories with local pubs and businesses all battling it out. Among the victors were batter experts – Alcester Fish Bar.
Then it was over to the youngsters with races for parents and toddlers, nurseries and all the local schools.
A ladies race served as the finale.
And as a side dish this year, there was a chance to see how many pancakes participants could flip in a minute, with the winner notching up over 50 flips.
