THE CURTAIN came down on the 2019 Interberga Mixed Triples League season with a presentation evening at Inkberrow Bowls Club.
Champions are the Droitwich White team who finished with 155 points and a commanding 21-point lead over runners-up Hewell Red, with Barbourne a further three points back in third place.
The winner’s shield was presented to Droitwich joint captains Mike White and Steve Gough by league secretary Tony Lamare who was one of the Inkberrow bowls enthusiasts behind the formation of the league in 2002. The Interberga league’s title comes from the Anglo-Saxon name for Inkberrow.
To coincide with the presentation evening, a triples competition was held for all clubs in the league and this was won by a team from Inkberrow.
