THE 2017 Interberga Mixed Triples League season came to a close with a presentation evening at Inkberrow Bowls Club.
The biggest celebrations came from champions Entaco who finished top of the table by the closest of margins – just two points above runners-up Hewell Red.
The winner’s shield was presented to Barbara Jeffrey, from the Studley-based club, by league secretary Tony Lamare.
The Interberga league’s title comes from the historic name for Inkberrow and Tony Lamare was one of the village bowls enthusiasts who formed the league in 2002.
To coincide with the presentation evening, a triples competition was held for all ten teams in the league.
A downpour, which left the Inkberrow green waterlogged, curtailed the games but not before Barbourne, from Worcester, had amassed enough points to emerge as winners.
