ALVECHURCH saw their winless run stretch to six matches following a 2-0 home defeat against Royston Town.
An early goal from Aaron Greene put Royston ahead before Demaray Anyadike sealed the points for the visitors in injury time at Lye Meadow.
The result means Alvechurch sit 13th in the Southern League Premier Central table, six points clear of the relegation zone.
Royston broke the deadlock after just seven minutes when Greene pounced on a loose touch by Krystian Pearce before he raced into the box and finished past Ronnie Hollingshead.
And the visitors secured the points six minutes into injury time as Anyadike lashed a low effort into the bottom right corner after Hollingshead kept out the substitute’s initial effort.
Alvechurch are next in action against Worcester City in the Worcestershire Senior Cup final on Wednesday, April 9 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Malvern Town’s HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
