MATT Clarke admits Redditch United’s 10 remaining league matches are all ‘cup finals’ as the Reds aim to finish in the play-off spots.

Following a rare weekend without a game, Redditch host play-off rivals Mickleover on Saturday (March 2) which begins a tricky run of fixtures until the end of the campaign for Clarke’s men.

However, Reds boss Clarke insists he is only concentrating on his own side as Redditch aim to secure a third straight league win this weekend with the club third in the Southern League Premier Central table one place and two points behind Mickleover with a game in-hand.

Clarke said “There’s 10 games left, 10 cup finals, to be sitting on 60 points after 30 games is incredible, you win things with that ratio.

“We’ve got 10 really tough games, we play the top six or seven teams but they’re all playing each other so everyone will take points off everybody else.

“We don’t care what other teams do, we can only control what we’re doing and we’re doing alright at the moment, long may that continue.

“Hopefully, come the Mickleover game we’ve got a full set of players and we can put our best 11 out and try and get the three points which would be huge for us.”

The Reds still have to play leaders Needham Market home and away while also taking in games against fellow play-off hopefuls Leamington, AFC Telford United and Stratford Town.

Redditch’s clash with Mickleover takes place on Saturday, March 2 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
