REDDITCH United could go top of the table this weekend as they face current league leaders Kettering Town at Latimer Park.
The Reds are currently third in the table on 25 points. Kettering are on 26 points with a far superior goal difference to Stamford in second.
And The Reds have been boosted by three new signings (see below for more details)
Redditch go into tomorrow’s clash having notched up an impressive 3-0 win away at 11th-placed St Ives last weekend.
After a somewhat quiet first half which ended 0-0, Redditch took the lead in the 47th minute through Johnny Johnston.
Just five minutes later, Billy Shaw added a second and Jaiden White scored the third on 64 minutes.
After tomorrow’s trip to Kettering, Redditch return to action on Monday night at home to Worcester City in the quarter-final of the Worcestershire Senior Cup.
With the match falling on Armistice Day, there will be a plethora of military personnel in attendance for a display before the game.
The game will be segregated with the Worcester fans situated in the Hollywood Monster End. They must enter the Valley Stadium through the Cedar Road turnstiles.
New signings
Jaiy Leydon
Meanwhile, the Reds have made some new signings, including young striker Jaiy Leydon who has joined on loan from League Two side Walsall.
The 17-year-old, a highly regarded prospect, scored 20 goals for the Saddlers academy’s under-18s last season and six times already this term. This will be his first taste of men’s senior football.

Redditch boss Tim Flowers described him as ‘quite lightweight but absolutely rapid’.
“I spoke to Ben Williams at Walsall who was glowing about him,” said the manager.
“He’s a bottle of pop and can play anywhere across the front three, whether it’s out wide or through the middle.
“I’m not saying he’s going to be starting every week but he’ll certainly get some game time and we’ll have a look at him over the coming month.”
Jahvan Davidson-Miller
Another striker to bolster Redditch’s attacking ranks is 26-year-old Jahvan Davidson-Miller.
The skillful frontman has an eye for goal and joins from fellow Step Three side Mickleover.
Davidson-Miller started his footballing career with Derby County, eventually leaving the Rams and joining Barwell where he spent four years before moving to Mickleover.
Flowers added: “Javhan has been training with us for the last couple of weeks and he’s a player that will give us pace and a work ethic up top.
“Sometimes he might try the Hollywood more than the easy, but if he gets his head down and works hard he’ll be a good member of the squad and we’re pleased to have gotten the deal over the line.”
Jack Kelly
And, earlier today, The Reds announced left-back Jack Kelly had joined.
The 28-year-old has a wealth of experience under his belt, starting his career with Nottingham Forest where he played for their U21s and trained regularly with the first team after impressing Stuart Pearce.

He met Tim Flowers at Forest when The Reds boss was working as a goalkeeping coach.
Jack later went on to play for Kettering Town between 2016 and 2019, before a move to Newtown in the Cymru Premier (Welsh top flight). He later had spells with Shifnal Town and Hednesford Town, before a move at the start of this season to Walsall Wood. Following the Wood’s recent issues, he left to join Sporting Khalsa a few weeks ago (October 2024) and now signs for Redditch United.
Flowers said: “I was at Forest when Jack was a kid and he was training with the first team, so I know him from those days. He’s a rugged, no-nonsense left back and a really good lad.
“The way we’ve been training and playing recently, considering they’re a pretty new group, has been really good with a high spirit and Jack will certainly add to that.
“We’re pleased to get him onboard with a busy, and difficult, run of fixtures.”
