REDDITCH United saw their four-game winning run come to an end after the Reds slipped to a 2-0 home defeat against Nuneaton Borough.
Camron McWilliams scored a first-half brace for the visitors with Matt Clarke’s side unable to find a response at the Valley Stadium.
And the result means Redditch sit fifth in the Southern League Premier Central table.
Nuneaton took the lead on 12 minutes when McWilliams unleashed a powerful effort from 25-yards out which went through Reds goalkeeper Adam Harrison.
And McWilliams struck again on 21 minutes after driving into the box and finding the left corner of the goal.
The Reds almost reduced the deficit when Reece Flanagan curled a free-kick into the side netting before Harrison denied veteran striker Leroy Lita at the other end.
Nuneaton went close to extending their lead in the second half when Kyle Storer curled a free-kick from the left against the crossbar before Jaden Charles also hit the frame of the goal.
The home side struggled to create a clear-cut chance in the second half as Brad Burton fired wide before Borough keeper Dan Jezeph made an excellent save at the death to deny the Reds a consolation goal.
Redditch are next in action away at league leaders Mickleover on Tuesday, October 24 with kick-off at 7.45pm at The Don Amott Arena.
