REDDITCH United have signed two goalkeepers and a defender on the eve of their Southern League Premier Central season opener.
Former Alvechurch full-back Brad Burton and goalkeepers Ben Taylor and Jack Price have all completed moves to join Matt Clarke’s side.
And 21-year-old Burton spent last season with Redditch’s Southern League rivals Alvechurch after leaving Aston Villa where he was on professional terms.
Clarke said: “Brad has been on the radar for the last 12 months ever since he went into Alvechurch. He’s always done well against us and when the chance arrived we made sure to get him onboard.
“Brad has great pedigree from his Villa days and is a very attacking full back. We’re looking forward to working with him.”
Goalkeeper Taylor arrives from National League North side Banbury United while Price has signed on dual registration from Dudley Sports.
Taylor featured for Redditch in the county cups last season and was previously a youth player at MK Dons and Cambridge United before moving on to North Leigh, Gloucester City and Oxford City.
Clarke added: “Ben played over 20 games for Banbury when they won the league in the 2021/22 season and played in the county cup for us last season.
“As well as Adam Harrison has done, we’ve never had genuine competition for the starting goalkeeper position and this addition will bring exactly that.”
