REDDITCH United have completed the signing of Liam Loughlan who won the Northern Premier League Midlands player of the season award last term.
Loughlan starred for Long Eaton United at Step Four last season and won the division’s player of the season award voted for by NPL Midlands managers.
The 23-year-old central midfielder spent time in Leicester City’s academy before moving to League Two side Salford City.
He helped the Ammies win the EFL Trophy in 2019/20 as he came off the bench in the final against Portsmouth at Wembley.
Redditch boss, Mike Fowler said: “I am delighted to secure Liam for the season ahead.
“He’s a player who was much sought after following on from the brilliant season he has just had.
“Winning player of the year for the league is a huge accolade, but it was fully deserved.
“Liam is an incredible player, really exciting with the ball and a workhorse without the ball.
“He loves to dribble, drive and commit defenders. Liam has a knack for scoring good goals and creates a lot for his teammates.
“Added to his undoubted ability, he has really impressed me as a person with his conduct and how he articulates himself.
“He has a great pedigree, starting out at Leicester City and playing in League Two a few seasons ago.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing him play in our team this season.”
