Lily and Leah leap to gymnastics success

REDDITCH siblings Lily and Leah Paice helped Bromsgrove Gymnastics Club to a bumper medal haul at the George Finney Regional Floor and Vault competition in Stoke-on-Trent.

The gymnasts performed a floor routine and two vaults in a competition which featured more than 1,000 youngsters.

In the U9 beginners girls category, Bromsgrove GC won team gold as Isabella Davies secured individual victory, Jessica Preston-Hunt was second and Leah Paice, of Astwood Bank First School, third.

There was team silver in the U9 beginners boys in which George Moore won individual gold and Toby Hickman-Smith bronze.




The U9 mixed beginners event brought team silver, whilst in the U11 beginners girls event there was team silver and individual gold for Lily Paice, of Walkwood Middle School, and bronze for Isobel Miskin.

Team gold was secured in the U11 beginners mixed team section and individual gold went the way of Milo Boffey in the U11 beginners boys category.


Samuel Jackson won bronze in the U13 beginners boys contest.

Bromsgrove GC head coach Andrea Paice said: “I am extremely proud of the hard work the gymnasts have put in and it has clearly paid off.”
