GIFTED St Bede’s Catholic Middle School pupil Lucy Hatfield proved her running prowess once again as she won a Schools’ County Cross Country Championship title for the third year in succession.
Lucy, a member of Bromsgrove & Redditch Athletic Club, was one of five St Bede’s year seven pupils in action at Top Barn Farm in Worcester and she ran an exceptional race as she led from the front the whole way to secure victory.
Lucy, who will now go through to the National Schools’ Cross Country Championships in a few weeks’ time, also finished 206th in the U13 girls’ race at the national Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships at Prestwold Hall in Loughborough on Saturday.
Lucy’s St Bede’s team-mates in Worcester were Emmie Phillips, Mya Cattell, Maddie Bray and Mia Pritchard.
