THE ONLY British Schools Gymnastics Association Midlands competition for Key Stage 1 children took place at Cocks Moors Woods Leisure Centre in Kings Heath and yielded success for youngsters who train at Wythall Gymnastics Club and represent Meadow Green Primary School.

The Wythall school’s pupils clinched team silver, whilst gold and bronze went to nearby Coppice Primary School and St Laurence respectively.

After years of fund-raising, the Meadow Green pupils were thrilled to arrive in style in a recently acquired minibus.

All children completed a floor routine and vault. In the individual competition, bronze and silver medals went to Coppice pupils and gold was won by Rose Waterhouse of Meadow Green who produced an outstanding score of 19.1 out of 20.
