FECKENHAM and CBH Fasteners maintained their perfect starts to the Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination with a sixth win in as many league games.
Feckenham sit top on goal difference, having hammered Redditch Borough 8-1 after Connor Perry Holmes led the way with a hat-trick. Robbie Davies and Jamie Walsh scored a brace and Ben Cox finished off the scoring, while Will Skelton was the Borough scorer.
Ollie Parsons netted twice as CBH beat visitors South Redditch 3-1 and a goal from Nath Davies helped seal the three points. Shane Kelleher replied.
Studley Lions moved to fourth in the table after goals from Dane Morgan and Richard Tyler earned a 2-0 win at Beoley Village.
AFC Windmill bounced back after last week’s 9-0 defeat to CBH by earning a 2-2 home draw against Frankley United, thanks to goals from Luke Bryan and Scott Harris. Gavin Devandre netted the Frankley goals.
In the BSA Cup, VKL United and Elite United both progressed to the next round.
VKL knocked out visitors Redditch United Cross 4-3 in an action-packed game. Sam Osmond scored twice for VKL, with Matt Morris and Mal Williams adding to the tally. Ryan Prosser, Richard Lane and Reece Miles were the scorers for Cross.
Sean McLoughlin completed a hat-trick and Harry Garner also scored as Elite United picked up their first victory of the season, beating Astwood FC 4-2. Matt Armond and Josh Bowen were on target for Astwood.
SSS Lions suffered their first loss of the season in the Worcester Nursing Junior Cup, going down 6-0 to last season’s winners Chaddesley Ravens. Dan Weston (2), Will Tibbetts (2), Alex Mallen and Ollie Richardson got the goals.
This Sunday, AFC Windmill host Feckenham in an all-Redditch Combination tie in the Worcestershire FA Sunday Premier Cup, while CBH head to Evesham Working Men’s Club in the same competition.
