REDDITCH RFC failed to register a single point as they were beaten 18-0 away at Five Ways Old Edwardians.
The visitors lacked cutting edge throughout but defended well for large periods with the bulk of the game played on the ground as both packs battled for territory.
Five Ways scored two tries out wide in the first half, one of which was converted, as the home side outpaced Redditch on the right wing.
Redditch were guilty of misplacing the final pass on too many occasions having created gaps in the Five Ways defence.
The home side added two penalties to their total in the second period to take the game out of Redditch’s reach as the visitors fought valiantly to no avail.
Redditch are next in action at home to Keresley on Saturday, November 12 at Bromsgrove Road.
