REDDITCH Swimming Club won 20 medals competing at the Swim England West Midlands Regional Summer Championships in Sandwell.
The club’s swimmers came home with two gold, 12 silver and six bronze medals over the long course 50-metre pool used in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Some 43 Redditch swimmers qualified for the West Midlands Regional Summer Championships across all age groups.
The competition took place over five days with Redditch swimmers competing in 170 heats and seven relay races.
The club had finalists in every session across the five days and achieved an 86 per cent personal best (PB) on PB rate.
A club statement reads: “We are incredibly proud of our swimmers and would also like to say thank you to all of our coaches, volunteers and officials who supported the swimmers over the two regional weekends.”
