HONOURS have been dished out following the conclusion of a highly successful Stratford & District Winter Tennis League season.

The league embraces 56 teams within seven divisions and thanks go to divisional organisers Richard Le Page, Graham Lawrence, Simon Moss, Richard McGhee, Steve Righton, Paul Whitfield and Simon Price.

Thanks were also given to Colin Jarvis and Richard McGhee for their support at the round-robin tournament and Jill Colbourne for her general overall support on that day, enabling the Winter League divisional winners and team players to enjoy an excellently prepared lunch at Stratford Sports Club prior to receiving their trophies.

The Winter League was boosted by Mike Baker’s efforts as he ran two knockout events throughout the entire season – the KO Cup and KO Plate – the finals of which were held at the Littletons club last Friday.

In the Cup Ardencote A defeated Campden A 6-3, 6-1 and in the Plate FISSC were 6-1, 6-1 winners over Shipston.
