Yet another washout for Feckenham

THE CONTINUING wet weather caused yet more frustration for Feckenham as all three Millers sides saw their scheduled Saturday fixtures postponed.

Fingers are crossed for better luck this Saturday, for when two of the matches have been rearranged.

The first team will try again at home to Droitwich in the Worcestershire Junior Cup semi-final at the Entaco (2pm), with Fairfield Villa awaiting the winners in the final following their 2-1 victory over Malvern outfit Welland.

Feckenham Reserves are due to host Inkberrow A in the Worcestershire Minor Cup semi-final on Saturday (2pm), bidding to book a place in the final against Vale of Evesham side Bretforton Old Boys, whilst the U18s were last night (Thursday) scheduled to visit Kidderminster Harriers in the Worcestershire Midweek Youth Cup.

The first team – still to play in 2018 – made the most of their latest postponement by venturing over to The Greig Leisure Centre in Alcester for circuit training.

Joint assistant manager Tom Davies said: “Obviously it’s gutting to have another game called off but again we had a good training session with the group, maintaining fitness and focus.

“We look forward to hopefully another exciting fixture against Droitwich on Saturday which, with local rivalry and a place in the cup final at stake, should have both teams playing at their peak.”

Feckenham remain sixth in Midland League Division Two, now eight points behind second placed Hampton, on whom they have three games in hand.
