REDDITCH United have signed title-winning midfielder Gift Mussa from Tamworth ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
Mussa played more than 40 games as the Lambs won the Southern League Premier Central title last season.
The 27-year-old adds a wealth of experience to the Reds’ midfield having previously featured for Coventry United, Leamington, Bromsgrove Sporting and Nuneaton Borough.
Redditch manager, Matt Clarke, said: “I’ve been a massive massive fan of Gift for a number of years.
“He’s still only 27, I think he played about 40 games for Tamworth last season in a championship winning team.
“He has outstanding qualities and he’s a leader on the field, he’s a really big signing for us.
“To sign someone from Tamworth that’s played the amount of games that he has, he’s a sought after midfield player.
“I think his workload and his work rate will enable other people like your Reece Flanagan’s to get on the ball.
“For me, it’s a big statement, it’s a big signing for the football club and it’s a bit of intent of us wanting to progress.
“I’m excited about working with Gift because not only is he a very talented footballer and excellent at what he does, he’s a very good human being which is really important to have in the dressing room.”
Mussa’s arrival comes after star midfielder Max Sheaf completed a move to Scottish Premiership side Ross County.
