YOUNG Redditch golfer Lili-Rose Hunt will pick up her first England cap following her inclusion in the England Girls’ squad for the Home Internationals competition.
Hunt heads into the tournament off the back of a runners-up finish at the prestigious English Girls’ Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship.
And Hunt forms part of a seven-strong squad alongside Sadie Adams, Nellie Ong, Ellise Rymer, Amelia Wan, Maggie Whitehead and Ellen Yates.
The competition takes place at Lindrick Golf Club in Yorkshire from August 8 to 10.
Women’s and girls’ assistant performance manager, India Clyburn, said: “We’ve got plenty of experience in the girls’ team with those who played at the European Team Championship while a number of the girls have been in fine form, returning strong performances at the English Open Championship.
“We’re looking forward to playing at Lindrick and it’s a wonderful opportunity to represent England and see if we can come out on top.”
