AUSTIN EX-APPRENTICES clinched the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination Premier Division title with a thumping 7-1 home victory over New Woodland Cottage.

Goalscorers for Austin, who have 21 points with one match to play, were Stuart Butcher (3), Josh Westwood, Jak Walton, Chris Tranter and Liam Spink. Stuart Price scored for Woodland.

The sides had also met the previous midweek when goals from Michael McGrath, Steve Thorn, Liam Spink, Josh Westwood, Tranter and Jake Wilcox secured a 6-1 success for Austin.

Congratulations also go to Studley Swan who have won Division Two with 17 points with one game to play. Sunday’s fixture at SO Goose Greenlands was postponed.




Elsewhere in the Premier Division on Sunday, Beoley Village defeated hosts Golden Cross 5-2 thanks to goals from Cole Herbert (2), Bekele, Louis O’Connor and Mark. Cross were on the mark through Mark Wilkes and Ray Butters.

CBH Fasteners secured a 2-1 Premier Division victory at Beoley Village last Thursday thanks to goals from Jack Turner and Nathan Davies. Sean Meek netted for Beoley.


It was a week to savour for SCC Redolence who defeated hosts Redditch Town 7-4 in Division One on the back of their midweek Ken Parfitt Cup final triumph.

Bryan (2), Sproston (2), Atkinson, Lees and Birkin scored in SCC’s league win, with Adams (2), Kieran Clarke and Joe Adkins on target for Town.

SCC’s cup win could not have been more dramatic as they prevailed 2-0 on penalties after a 4-4 draw with Golden Cross.

Elsewhere in Division One on Sunday, Redditch Cross drew 2-2 at home to AFC Lions with Sean Bailey and Lee Bourke the Cross scorers and Jon Pearson (2) registering for Lions.
