A HEALTHY crowd of around 150 watched Broughsons beat Redditch United Cross 1-0 in last Thursday’s first Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination cup final of the season.

The Steven Troth Cup final, won by Josh Carter’s first half goal, was played at Studley FC, which will also be the venue for the Studley Cup final between CBH Fasteners and Beoley Village on Thursday, April 5 (7.15pm).

On Sunday all scheduled fixtures were played and Astwood claimed their first win of the Division Two season as they triumphed 3-1 at SCC Redolence. Tim Lees struck for the hosts but goals from George Parsons (2) and Harry West clinched the spoils for the visitors.

In the other match in the division, Broughsons were 7-0 home winners over VKL United through goals from Robbie Bunn (2), Ryan Brannan (2), Carter Brough, Brendon Bunn and Karl Surman.

SO Goose booked their place in the Terry Cup semi-finals by beating visitors Redditch Town 4-1. They will now face Lodge Park in the last four after goals from Ryan Gittings, Aiden Jones, Laurence McLaughlin and Carlton Hawkins. Chris Adams netted for Town.

Studley Swan moved into the semi-finals of the BSA Cup by seeing off visitors South Redditch 5-1. They will face Redditch Town in the last four after goals from Lewis (2), Hancox (2) and Mason did the trick. McSweeney struck for the visitors.

Redditch United Cross will face Norton Athletic in the last four of the Hunt Crane Cup after a 3-0 home win over Beoley Village in the quarter-finals in which Reece Miles, Joe Reeves and Joshua Wilkinson-Teece scored.

CBH Fasteners exited the Worcestershire Sunday Junior Cup as they lost 5-3 on penalties at home to Evesham Working Men’s Club. The match had finished 2-2 after 90 minutes.
