THE WELCOME sunshine on Sunday came a day too late to save all of the weekend’s Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination fixtures, but CBH Fasteners boosted their Division One title hopes with a 2-1 home win over fellow challengers Millfield Rovers thanks to goals from Callum Davies and Lukas Eilberg.
In the Premier Division, two well placed strikes in five first half minutes from Steven Roche set title favourites Black Horse on the way to a comfortable 5-0 victory at South Redditch.
Richard Sullivan scored four as OKH Sporting Dynamo put themselves within three wins of the Division Two title by defeating hosts Queens Head 8-0.
Stuart Byng was also on the hat-trick trail as New Woodland Cottage enjoyed a successful visit to Evesham United, winning 7-2.
Redditch Cross enjoyed a 6-1 victory over visitors Rubery Legends as Tommy Williams and Mathew Morris both scored twice and Kiefer Wade and Jordan Brown also got on the scoresheet.
This Sunday the highlight of the fixture list is in the Jim Fleeman Cup as Division One leaders Rocklands host Division Two table-toppers OKH Sporting Dynamo at HDA for a place in the final.
