Combination sides see off Bromsgrove opposition

REDDITCH & South Warwickshire Combination sides SSS Lions and Beoley Village progressed into the next round of the Bromsgrove Charity Minor Cup by beating Bromsgrove league opponents.

The Lions defeated Catshill Veterans 4-1 thanks to two goals from Chris Hands and strikes from Shaun Hunter and Marc Jovanovic, with Adam Dyer on the mark for Catshill.

Jake Reeves was the scorer for Beoley in the 1-1 draw against Broughsons before Beoley progressed 4-1 on penalties.

In the league, Lodge Park stay second after beating Norton Athletic 7-1. Terry Nolan and Pete Murphy scored two goals apiece and Josh Russell, Leon Kandekore and Connor Atkinson also hit the target for the hosts, with Tom Harbourne netting for Norton.




Tom Fishwick bagged a hat-trick to inspire South Redditch to a 3-1 victory over Astwood, for whom Aid Wright scored, whilst Billy O’Mahoney’s effort and an own goal proved enough for Studley Lions to win 2-0 at VKL United.

CBH Fasteners remain top after defeating SCC Redolence 3-2. Brad Taylor and Dan Bowen registered for the hosts but goals from Chris Parish, James Morrall and Nathan Davies secured the points for CBH.
