Cottage and Cross into Pat Sanders Cup semis

NEW Woodland Cottage and Redditch Cross reached the semi-finals of the Pat Sanders Cup thanks to narrow last eight victories on Sunday.

Cottage were 1-0 winners over Redditch Town thanks to a Stu Byng goal, whilst Tom Johnson-Hosker and Sean Bailey were on the mark for Cross in their 2-1 victory over AFC Lions, for whom Jon Pearson scored.

In the Premier Division, Austin Ex-Apprentices maintained their winning ways with a 5-0 victory at battling Beoley Village thanks to goals from Richard Deeming, Jay Walton, Andy Nicol, Liam Spink and an own goal.

In Division One, Lodge Park won their fourth league game since the split as they beat SCC Redolence 4-0 through goals from Ben Higgins, Simon Ledgister, Anthony Jones and Terry Nolan.




Shakespeare Studley were 2-0 winners at SO Goose Greenlands in Division Two and their second league win since the split leaves them second in the table. The scorers were Shane Kelher and Charlie Brough.

South Redditch drew 2-2 with visitors Studley Swan as Garry Farmer and Dane Morgan netted for the hosts and Sam Bennett and Ibrahim Aklaq struck for Swan.
