WARWICKSHIRE stars Chris Woakes and Ian Westwood will be at Studley Cricket Club on Wednesday to spearhead the relaunch of the club’s junior section.
The Bears aces will be present from 6pm, as will former Warwickshire batsman Dominic Ostler as Studley welcome new junior faces to the club’s ranks as part of the Complete Cricket programme which is co-ordinated by former Edgbaston spinner Jamie Spires.
Junior training is for anyone aged between five and 17 and it runs from 6pm until 7.30pm. If you cannot attend the launch night but want more information contact Jacki Taylor on 07526 515123.
REDDITCH ENTACO CC begin their 2015 season with attractive pre-season friendlies against Worcester CC on Saturday.
First and second team captains Luke Davis and Geoff Eley have picked strong sides against last season’s Worcestershire League Division One champions.
The 1st XI are away, with Andy Elleray and wicketkeeper Aaron Tozer making their debuts for the Kingfishers, whilst the 2nd XI fixture takes place at Bromsgrove Road, which is undergoing extensive building work following the recent successful NatWest CricketForce event and all as part of the build-up towards the club’s match against a Lashings XI on Friday, August 14.
On Sunday, April 19 Redditch Entaco are holding a junior open day from 10am to noon. The club’s new ECB Level 3 coach Richard Hadley and senior 1st XI players will be on hand to give a sample to the great game of cricket free of charge.

As a curtain-raiser to the new season, the club are holding a race night tonight (Friday) at the club from 7pm onwards. All cricketers, friends and guests are welcome to come along to what should be a fun-filled night.
