THERE was a reduced programme in the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination due to Sunday’s second city derby, but there was no little lack of effort or commitment on show.
In Division Two, Redditch United Cross beat Astwood 6-1 to sit top with 21 points, whilst SCC Redolence defeated VKL United 3-2, leaving the victors in third place level on points (16) with second placed Broughsons.
In the Worcester Sunday Minor Cup, CBH Fasteners were without a game when their opposition Malvern Rangers Sunday resigned from the league, giving CBH a bye into the next round.
South Redditch beat Hallow Village from the Worcester league 4-1, whilst Broughsons saw off TDMS Evesham 2-0. Redditch Town lost 3-0 to Sporting Rangers.
