REDDITCH teenager Daisy-Mai Clements savoured glory on the national stage as she won the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) National Athletics Finals under 14 girls’ triple jump.

Daisy, who attends Bromsgrove School, clinched her place at the national stages after winning her regional heats.

The former Ridgeway Middle School pupil won a bronze medal in the long jump final in which 26 girls from across the country competed.

However, her greatest achievement was winning the under 14 girls’ national triple jump final with a jump of 10.74m as she topped a field of 24.

The Halesowen Athletics Club ace smashed the previous national IAPS record of 10.15m and also broke both her school and club records.

This puts her third in the country for the under 15 age group. She is in the younger section of the under 15s as it spans two school year groups.
