Derby day reduces fixture list but still goals aplenty

ONLY four matches were played in the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination due to the second city derby, but nevertheless 40 goals were scored in the handful of matches contested.

New Woodland Cottage moved top of the table after beating VKL United 7-3 with goals from Adam Crombie (2), Ryan Butler, Lorcan Davenport, Adam Davies, Aaron Brough and Nicholas Ebanks.

Daniel Gaffney scored four goals for South Redditch and Karl Dwyer and Ian Leeton were also on target to help them beat SCC Redolence 7-4.

Golden Cross beat Redditch Town 6-1 as two goals each from McHugh and Styler took them to fourth in the table.




James Priddle netted a hat-trick and Sean Bailey a brace to help Redditch Cross to a 9-3 victory over Lodge Park.
