REDDITCH Hockey Club will be joining over 140 clubs across the country in taking part in the national Back to Hockey campaign, which gets underway on Sunday, June 7.
The club welcome the Redditch public to join them at their Back to Hockey sessions for both men and women, which will run from Sunday, June 7 until Sunday, July 12.
Back to Hockey sessions are coached sessions for men and women who may not have played hockey for a long period of time or who are looking to try the sport for the first time.
The club’s coaching sessions will provide you with a great opportunity to learn or refresh your skills and play with like-minded people in a friendly and relaxed environment without the pressure to perform.
The ladies at Redditch HC are very keen to see healthy numbers attend these sessions as the club lost its Ladies 2nd XI in 2014/15 due to a shortage of players.
The Ladies 2nds was a massively important stepping stone for girls moving from junior into senior hockey and also provided more experienced players with a chance to continue playing the sport later in their careers.
If enough ladies come ‘back to hockey’, the team could be relaunched in 2016.
