TWO former Alvechurch Middle School pupils have helped Aston Villa win the FA Girls’ Midlands U16s League.
Imogen Sinclair and Becky Gompertz have been an integral part of Villa’s season in which they have won the title with a game to spare (won ten, drawn one).
The duo, who play as centre back and left back respectively, will now trial in the summer to see if they can get into Villa’s Ladies Development Squad and eventually the full Ladies team.
Imogen, 16, met Becky, 16, at Barnt Green Primary School where they became best friends before moving to Alvechurch Middle School.
In 2009 they joined the Aston Villa Girls’ Academy, playing for the U10s before moving to the U16s.
Imogen now studies at RGS Worcester while Becky, who goes to South Bromsgrove High School, plays for Redditch United Ladies.
