Duo run riot as Combination action hots up

THERE were goals galore for Feckenham Sunday and Headless Cross Lions in Sunday’s Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination fixtures.

Feckenham Sunday thumped visitors South Redditch 14-0 as George Tolley and Connor Perry-Holmes both bagged hat-tricks and Robbie Davies (2), Jack Dawkins (2), Regan Lowe, Kieran Donnelly, Jake Donnelly and Jamie Walsh all netted.

Headless Cross Lions played their first game after joining the league and did so in style with a 10-0 over AFC Windmill.

There were hat- tricks from Ellis Kalach and Jarrell Hepburn and further strikes from Ant McNally (2), Jordan Porter and Jordan Street secured a first win of the season.




Frankley United and Astwood shared eight goals in a thriller in which visitors Astwood powered into a 4-1 lead shortly into the second half before Frankley struck back to earn a share of the spoils.

Jake Pollard (2), Tom Williams and Matt Fonyodi netted for Astwood and Daniel Gibbs (2), Ricky Langston and Callum Bissett were on the mark for United in a 4-4 draw.


SSS Lions, AFC Thomas Brothers and Studley Lions all continued their winning form from the previous weekend.

SSS Lions travelled to Redditch Borough and secured a 5-2 victory through a brace from Tom Keogh and goals from Ben Ellicott, Jay Gifford and Brendan Hicks. Liam Clee and Alex Birch scored for Borough.

AFC Thomas brothers hosted Redditch United Cross and were winning 4-0 shortly into the second half but let Redditch Cross back into the game through a free kick and penalty, although the visitors were eventually beaten 4-2.

Nath Davies, Callum Davies, Sean Parish and Ben Round scored for Thomas Brothers and Sam Reeves and Richard Lane netted for Cross.

A double from Ibby Akhlaq was enough to seal Studley Lions’ 2-1 home win over Redditch Town, whose goal was scored by Luke Rees-Stephens.

Sean Meek bagged four goals to edge visitors Beoley Village, for whom Fin McCarthy also scored, to a 5-4 win at Wythall Lions.

Brad Andrews, Jack Wilson, Jack Ward and Tom Williams all found the net for Wythall.
