ALL Stars Cricket – a brand new initiative from the England & Wales Cricket Board – is coming to Cookhill and Studley cricket clubs.

The scheme aims to provide boys and girls aged five to eight with eight weeks of non-stop fun.

The activity and game-based programme is suitable for all skill levels, providing children with the foundations to begin a lifelong love of physical activity and cricket while making friends in a safe and enjoyable environment.

Each registered child will receive a pack of cricket goodies including a cricket bat, ball, backpack, water bottle, personalised shirt and cap to keep.

To sign up for All Stars Cricket at Cookhill CC, beginning on May 20, visit tinyurl.com/AllStarsCricketCookhillCC.

All Stars Cricket is being delivered by 1,500 centres across England and Wales. Visit allstarscricket.co.uk.

Studley will launch their ECB All Stars Cricket initiative at the beginning of May.

The cost is £40 for a ten-week course and there are lots of junior teams for youngsters to get involved in.

JUNIOR training begins at Studley Cricket Club next week and newcomers are welcome to join the fun, which will be spearheaded by some well known faces.

The first Complete Cricket session takes place on Wednesday, April 26 (6-7.30pm) and will be run by former Warwickshire players Dominic Ostler and Jamie Spires, who are also qualified Studley coaches.

The sessions are open to boys and girls aged five to 18 and the cost for 16 weeks is £50, with a discount for siblings. This pays for all the coaching and any games players are selected for.

Contact cricket secretary Jacki Taylor on 07526 515123 for more details about either initiative.
