HEADLESS CROSS U8s hot-shot Finnley Davies is celebrating after his ninth hat-trick of the season saw him reach 50 goals for the campaign.
Seven-year-old Finnley, who plays as a winger or wing-back, has reached the milestone in 27 games in which his high-flying side have scored 123 goals.
Headless Cross U8s, who are preparing for their third cup final in recent times, are unbeaten in the league this season and have lost just one match in 2017.
Manager Adam Kilgallen said: “It’s a tremendous effort for Finnley to score 50 goals with more matches still to come, especially as he doesn’t play as a striker.
“However, he wouldn’t have reached that total without the hard work, talent and commitment of his team-mates.”
