REDDITCH United suffered a first pre-season defeat ahead of the 2026/27 season after losing 2-1 away at Flint Town United in Wales.
An early goal from Tyler Bruck put Mike Fowler’s side ahead only for Flint to score either side of the break to complete the turnaround at Cae-y-Castell.
Flint play in the Cymru Premier – Wales’ top football league – as the Reds saw their four-game unbeaten run in pre-season come to an end.
Redditch broke the deadlock on 13 minutes when Flint failed to deal with Liam Loughlan’s corner and Dan Sweeney crossed for Bruck who stabbed the ball home on the volley from close range.
However, Flint equalised on 22 minutes after a home trialist rounded Reds goalkeeper Joe Neeson with Jak Hickman just unable to clear the ball off the line.
And the Welsh side completed the turnaround with two minutes left to play as a different trialist found the net from a set-piece.
Redditch continue their pre-season campaign against Gornal Athletic on Tuesday, July 21 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Garden Walk.
