HEWELL Bowling Club members have enjoyed real success this year, culminating in the ladies triple of Sheila Williams, Linda Smith and Steph Greenwell reaching the final of the County Triples before losing out to a strong Broadway team.
They then went on to represent Worcestershire at Leamington, winning their first game before being narrowly beaten in the second round.
On the men’s side. the highlight was the performance of Hewell’s two veteran pairs in the County Veteran Pairs competition.
On a very hot day, Ray Gibson and Rick Sippitts defeated Jim McDonald and Dave Ellsmore.
