Lions and Beoley Village reach Jim Fleeman Cup final

THE JIM Fleeman Cup final will be contested by AFC Lions and Beoley Village at Studley FC on Thursday, March 30 after the duo won their semi-finals on Sunday.

Lions defeated Shakespeare Studley 2-1 through goals from Josh Watts and Tommy Williams, with Louis Brough on the mark for Shakespeare.

Beoley Village beat New Woodland Cottage 4-1 as Valentine Bekeck bagged a brace and Sean Meek and Neville Ekane (penalty) also struck, leaving Stu Byng’s goal as a consolation for Cottage.

Austin Ex-Apprentices beat CBH Fasteners 6-0 in the quarter-finals of the Keith Turner Cup as Andy Nicol scored twice and Chris Tranter, Liam Spink, Jack Jones and Josh Westwood also netted.




Redditch Cross secured their place in the semi-finals of the Studley Charity Cup by beating SCC Redolence 2-1 through goals from Dan Peach and Tom Johnson-Hosker. SCC’s goal was scored by Tim Lees.

In the Steven Troth Cup SO Goose Greenlands beat VKL United 2-1 to reach the semi-finals thanks to strikes from Aiden Jones and James Duffy. Sam Osmond netted for VKL.


There was only one league game played and it was a seven-goal thriller in Division Two between Studley Swan and South Redditch.

Hosts Swan were 5-2 victors thanks to goals from Styles, Aklaq, Lewis, Davis and Hughes. South Redditch’s goals were scored by Skan and Gaffney.
