REDDITCH & South Warwickshire Combination teams impressed in various cup competitions on Sunday.

SSS Lions beat Meadow Park Youth 3-1 in the Bromsgrove Charity Minor Cup first round, whilst in the Junior Cup opening round CBH Fasteners defeated Bromsgrove Corinthians 2-0.

Studley Lions secured a place in the semi-final of the BSA Cup by beating South Redditch 3-2, thanks to a brace from George Bailes. Dane Morgan struck twice for South Redditch.

There was a change at the top of the league table, with Feckenham Sunday now sitting at the summit thanks to a 10-1 win against SCC Redolence.




Dan Sutton bagged four goals and Connor Perry-Holmes a hat-trick, with Luke Poole (2) and Josiah Walker also netting for Feckenham, SCC’s goal came from Luke Bryan.

Leon Kandekore was Lodge Park’s hat-trick hero in their 5-3 win against Norton Athletic.


Pete Murphy and Jason Russell also struck for the victors and Shane Kelly (2) and Daniel Maleady were on the mark for Norton.

There were doubles from Sean Bailey and Joshua Dimitri and goals from Sam Reeves, Lee Bourke, Andy Lakin, Tim Lees and Dan Bailey in Redditch United Cross’ 9-1 victory against Astwood, for whom Matt Armond netted.

James Pugh scored twice for Beoley Village in a 2-2 draw at home to VKL United, for whom Sam Osmond’s goal and an own goal secured a share of the spoils.</b>
