MATRIX angling Shawn Little secured a runaway win in Saturday’s Redditch Federation Open match on Arrow Valley lake with a catch of 84lb 6oz.
Fishing from flyer peg 60, he had one carp of 12lb plus all bream to 5lb taken on the groundbait feeder to maggot or worm hook bait.
John Halfpenny (Arrow Valley) had the next best weight with 28lb 10oz of bream off peg 54, also using feeder tactics.
John Walkden (Sensas Smithy’s) was third with a nice catch of 18lb 1oz of mainly roach and rudd taken on the pole with maggots from peg 47, ahead of John Howse (Earlswood) with 16lb 4oz of bream from peg 45.

Pete Lewis took first place in Dark Lane AC’s match on the river Arrow at Alcester on Saturday.
Lewis was the winner with 9lbs 4ozs, ahead of second-placed Oscar Davis (9lbs) and Keith Jones (6lbs 13ozs) in third.
Barry Blewett (4lbs 3ozs) was fourth, ahead of Glyn Blewett (3lbs 15ozs) and Mick Keen (3lbs 14ozs).
On Sunday the Needles AC’s pairs match on the river Alne at Great Alne was won by Glyn Blewett and Andy Farmer with 6lbs 12ozs.
Pete Lewis and Mick Keenwere second with 4lbs 14ozs, and Bob Allen and D Keen third with 4lbs 6ozs.
