BRANDON MILLER cracked an unbeaten century to keep Studley firmly in the Warwickshire League Division One title hunt.

Miller hit 111 not out as Studley swept aside visitors Southam by six wickets on Saturday to remain second in the table, four points behind leaders Knowle Village.

On Saturday Studley travel to third placed Coleshill, who lie two points behind the Washford Fields outfit.

In Saturday’s encounter Southam made a steady start as the top five all got into the 20s, but Nathan Hooker (47) and Usman Saleem (54) were the only batsmen to go on to bigger scores.

Saleem was one of three wickets for Miller, who ended with 3-30 off nine overs.

Greg Moore (2-17), Owain Erskine (2-40) and Andy Rhodes (2-64) also chipped in with wickets as Southam ended on 219-9 off 50 overs.

Studley openers Steve Rose (15) and Chris Perrins (13) both fell cheaply but Miller then took centre stage as his peerless batting steered the hosts home, with Simon Stamenkovic adding 35 as Studley reached 220-4 with one over to spare.
