REDDITCH United have clinched the double signing of Bedworth United duo Daniel Dubidat and Jamie Ashmore as their first signings for the new season.
Boss Liam McDonald today confirmed the signing of hot-shot Dubidat and right-back Ashmore from their new Southern Premier rivals.
Dubidat netted more than 20 goals in helping Bedworth win promotion, while attacking full-back Ashmore was one of the mainstays in the Greenbacks’ ranks.
Both have signed deal for the new season.
McDonald is convinced Dubidat can become a leading scorer for the Reds.
McDonald said “Danny is a striker I’ve been after for over a season and thrilled to have captured his signature on a deal for this season. ”
He’s got all the attributes you want in a striker and I’m sure he’ll be in and alongside the top scorers in the league.”
The Reds boss added: “Jamie is a very good defender and loves to get forward.
“He scored 6 goals last season and assisted well into double figures, he’s quick and really bombs up and down the flank.”
McDonald is hoping to finalise more new signings later this week. The Reds begin their pre-season friendlies with a trip to Pershore Town on Saturday, July 11.
