RIDGEWAY Academy’s year six rounders team are celebrating after being crowned Redditch district champions.
They played five matches – winning four and drawing one – and at the end of the tournament Ridgeway were level on points with Church Hill.
It came down to rounders scored to determine the winners and Ridgeway shaded their closest rivals 28.5 to 26.5.
Ridgeway PE teacher Susie Coleman said: “The girls were amazing and I am immensely proud of them.”
