AN EXCITING new rounders league is coming to Redditch with a vow to encourage people to have fun whilst getting fit this summer.
Run by Leagues4you, the competition marks the return of the company’s popular outdoor rounders league to Redditch after an absence of two years.
Leagues4you operates leagues across the UK involving more than 3,100 players and co-ordinator David Lancaster said: “We’re passionate about getting people back into sport and making playing as hassle-free as possible.
“We take away a lot of the barriers which can prevent people from taking part in sports. We sort out venue hire, umpires and the required kit.”
Anyone over 14 is welcome to join, regardless of ability, fitness and age. Teams will play once a week on Monday evenings at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch, starting on June 10.
The league will be preceded by a refresher session on Monday, June 3 when players can remind themselves of the rules, form teams and play matches.
Players can join leagues as a team, small group of friends or individually. The cost is £32 per team per match.
