South Redditch get back on track

SOUTH REDDITCH returned to winning ways in Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination Division One with a 4-0 success at Beoley Village on Sunday in which Connor Poole, Ashna Powell, Shane Kelleher and Dane Morgan scored to lift the visitors to third.

In Division Two, SO Goose comfortably beat visitors Astwood 5-1 as two goals from Ashley Lalor saw them move to third place. Chris West, Sam Hicken and Loz McLoughlin were also on target for the victors, whilst Jake Pollard netted for Astwood.

Redditch Town defeated visitors VKL United by the same scoreline as Chris Adams and Daniel Gaffney both bagged braces and Aaron Benton was also on the mark. Rob French struck for VKL.

Lodge Park secured their place in the semi-finals of the BSA Cup by beating hosts Broughsons 3-0 thanks to goals from Simon Ledgister, Terry Nolan and Leon Kandekore. They will play either CBH Fasteners or VKL in the last four.




A hat-trick from Shane Hancox helped Studley Swan to a 5-3 win at SCC Redolence to book a place in the Jim Fleeman Cup semi-finals. Dave Lewis and Owen Lewis were also on the mark for the visitors, whilst Jordan Price, Lewis Billingham and Tom Lees were the scorers for Redolence.

CBH Fasteners or Norton await Swan in the last four.


Redditch United Cross exited the Birmingham Amateur Cup in the third round after losing 6-0 to visitors Empire Ambush from Coventry.
