ST BEDE’S Catholic Middle School’s year six netball team claimed a clean sweep of victories to win the district tournament on Tuesday.
St Bede’s won all five matches in wet conditions at Walkwood Middle School as they improved with each game.
There was some excellent shooting from Jazlyn Hegarty and Lucy Hatfield, whilst the defending from Ayla Ozturk, captain Jess Sanders and Hollie Fuszard ensured the opposition failed to score against St Bede’s throughout the tournament.
Mia Pritchard, Kiera-Leigh Phillips and Eleanor Kembery did an excellent job of creating space and feeding the ball into the shooters.
St Bede’s won 6-0, 4-0, 3-0, 3-0 and 6-0 against Church Hill, Ridgeway, Birchensale, Walkwood and Ipsley respectively.
