ST BEDE’S Catholic Middle School secured a hat-trick of victories in the year seven district schools netball tournament thanks to a series of battling displays.
The Holloway Lane school won their group games comfortably to set up a semi-final against Walkwood, who were overcome by a two-goal margin.
Hosts Birchensale awaited in the final which went to extra-time, by the end of which St Bede’s managed to prevail by two goals.
The St Bede’s squad was made up of goal shooter and captain Maude Read, goal attack Lucy Hatfield, wing attack Mya Cattell, centre Mia Pritchard, wing defence Kiera Phillips, goal defence Aoibhe Williams and goal keeper Ayla Ozturk.
