Studley Cup glory for CBH Fasteners

GOALS from James Morrall, Mark Harrison and Nathan Davies helped CBH Fasteners to a 3-0 victory over Beoley Village in the Studley Cup final played at Studley FC.

The two sides will meet again in another Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination final – the Jim Fleeman Cup at Studley on Tuesday, May 8 – after both teams won their semi-finals on Sunday.

Sean Meek scored all five goals to inspire Beoley to a 5-2 victory at Redditch United Cross, for whom Joshua Wilkinson-Teece and Matt Morris netted.

Morrall bagged a hat-trick and Oliver Davies, Nathan Davies and Dan Jakeman were also on the scoresheet as CBH defeated visitors Studley Swan 6-2. Shane Hancox and Chris Bryant struck for Swan.




Connor Poole and Tom Fishwick both bagged braces and Ben King was also on the mark for South Redditch as they won 5-2 at home to Lodge Park in Division One. Pete Murphy scored twice for the visitors.

These three points take South Redditch up to third in the table, only four points off top spot.


Nineteen goals were scored in three Division Two matches on Sunday. Broughsons secured another win to keep them well ahead at the top as Brendon Bunn (2), Mark Wilkes and Jake Byford scored in a 4-2 home victory over SCC Redolence, for whom Luke Brian and Tim Lees netted.

SO Goose moved into third place, level on points with fourth-placed SCC Redolence, after a 2-2 draw at home to VKL United, whose goals were both scored by Sam Osmond.

George Parsons and Jake Pollard both netted twice and Matt Fonyodi, Andy Hayes and an own goal added to Astwood FC’s tally in their 7-2 home victory over Redditch Town, for whom Chris Adams and Shiv Dheir were on the mark.

In last Thursday’s fixtures, a Tom Hawkins-Daniell goal secured a 1-0 home win for Studley Swan against South Redditch in Division One, whilst in Division Two SCC Redolence and visitors SO Goose contested a thrilling 5-5 draw.

Tom Lees (2), Anthony Bromhead, Ryan Bromhead and Ryan Sproston scored for Redolence and Jack Darby (2), Machasie Futlia (2) and Matt Jones netted for Goose.
