Studley edge away from danger zone

Redditch Editorial 2nd Aug, 2018   0

STUDLEY edged three more points clear of the bottom two in the Warwickshire County League Division One despite a rain-hit fixture list.

Though Studley’s match at Highway Spartans was abandoned, they still manage to get seven points while second-from-bottom Pak Sheehan had to settle for four in their abandoned clash at Earslwood.

Earlswood make the short trip to Studley on Saturday.

Last weekend, Studley had reached 183-6 off their 44 overs before the weather cut proceedings short.

Opener Charlie Bass top-scored with 46, but there were also useful contributions from Jack Williams (40) and Chris Perrins (30no).

Studley Seconds hit 112-2 in 28 overs against Continental Star in their Division Eight West fixture before the weather halted play.

They travel to Bournville 2nds on Saturday.
