Studley Swan go third thanks to Hancox hat-trick

THERE was finally a full fixture list played in the Redditch & South Warwickshire Combination on Sunday.

Studley Swan beat hosts Norton Athletic 3-2 in Division One to move themselves from fifth to third in the table on the same points as second placed South Redditch.

Shane Hancox was the hero for Swan with a hat-trick, whilst Luke Hancocks’ double proved in vain for Norton.

In Division Two, Broughsons beat hosts Astwood 3-0 to move top of the table, overtaking Redditch United Cross. The visitors’ goals were scored by Dave White (2) and Karl Surman.




Matt McVerry, Matt Hale and Chris West were on the mark for SO Goose in their 3-1 victory at VKL United, for whom Dan Bennett scored.

The final of the Studley Cup will be between CBH Fasteners and Beoley Village, scheduled for Thursday, March 15.


In the semis, Beoley Village were 5-3 victors at Lodge Park through goals from Ryan Richards, Cole Herbert, Sean Meek, Jordan Herbert and Mario Prota. The hosts’ goals were scored by Brett Lodge, Leon Kandekore and Lee Aldridge.

Dan Jakeman scored a hat-trick for CBH Fasteners, for whom James Moore also struck in their 4-1 win at South Redditch, whose goal was scored by Tom Fishwick.

Redditch United Cross booked their place in the Steven Troth Cup final thanks to a 3-1 success at SCC Redolence. Lewis Billingham netted for the hosts but Cross prevailed through goals from Tom Johnson-Hosker, Joe Hudson and Dan Peach.
